"At this point, Rosell Mir needs no introduction. The family, who's roots go back to 1474 as land owners in Catalonia, have well established themselves as the most value-driven, low-intervention, organic producer in our book, and perhaps in all of Spain. Today's offer from Rosell Mir:
100% Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in 1985 on the "Pla de la Creu" or the Flat of the Cross; which in ancient days was a designated property line indicated by a Cross. This is a special plot of head-pruned vines that produces incredibly low-yields, hand-harvested of course, macerated for 19 days before a light pressing into neutral barrels for 18 month, bottled unfined, unfiltered, unf'd with then allowed an additional year to rest in bottle" - Vin2U
