"In the Middle Ages, the land was part of the lordship of Baron de Guers. They were cultivated with cereals and alfalfa, to feed the important cavalry of the castle (hence its name Grangette, small barn). The vine was cultivated there on a few plots; very old stone vats attest to the work of wine well before the Revolution. The cellar is located in the restored stables of the Estate built in the 18th century. by the historic city of PEZENAS, Domaine la Grangette is located in the heart of the Protected Designation of Origin PICPOUL DE PINET.
Today, the estate covers sixty hectares, 20 of which are planted. Bordered by a scrubland extending for 6 km to MONTAGNAC, this place offers plenty of possibilities for walks, on foot or by bike, by following multiple paths between vineyards, scrubland and pine forests from where you can discover both the mountains and the sea. We are the only estate to vinify Piquepoul in the 3 colors, our range includes 11 wines. We cultivate our vines in order to respect the environment. Our small yields contribute to an exceptional concentration of aromas."
