"We created the Lise and Bertrand Jousset estate at the dawn of the 2004 vintage, a carefully considered project and a shared desire. Our philosophy has been the same from the start: as a canon or a dinner companion, wine is made to be drunk and shared. Then it's up to us to make wines for each moment.
Why Montlouis sur Loire? - For its accessibility. Young and penniless to start, there is better! Settling in Montlouis sur Loire allowed us to take advantage of superb terroirs without (too much) breaking the bank.
- For its terroirs, with a common denominator of a rock that makes us think so much: tuffeau.
And today ? Our estate covers 11 ha in the Montlouis sur Loire and Touraine appellation. We work on [...] Gamay and Grolleau (both on 1ha). Our 27 plots are located mainly on Husseau and a little on St Martin le Beau and Lussault. They are between 5 and 100 years old, for old vines."-Domaine Josset
