"One of the first 5 Litrona wines of 2021 with our favorite Verdejo master, MicroBio. Grapes are 150+ years old, organically grown, hand harvested, fermented in clay amphora and aged in stainless steel tanks for about 3 months to preserve its young and fresh profile. Bottled unfiltered without sulphites, unfined and unfiltered. Light-boded, and meant to drank fast! Not too fruity actually, super easy going.
The wines of Rueda have often been referred to as piña colada due to their tropical taste resulting from the use of the same commercial yeast strains in the region. Ismael Gozalo, on the other hand, is the anti-Rueda regardless of being located in Rueda. He is a citizen of the independent republic of Verdejo where his super old, ungrafted, prephylloxera vines are king. For those looking for piña colada, all we can offer is the label." - Selections de la Vina
